On their trade journeys to the east, the Vikings stopped at the Finnish coast to exchange weapons and jewelry for skins. To the Viking influence on jewelry making, the Finns added a distinctly Finnish style. This jewelry inspired later designers to create jewelry that captures the spirit of the Vikings.
