The Kehät silver earrings from Kalevala are made of elegantly curved silver wires, decorated with rhythmically spaced silver beads. The design is inspired by a hairband created by Paula Häiväoja in the 1960s. The earrings are mirror images of each other and feature posts with swivels.
Paula Häiväoja (1929–2011) was the head designer at Kalevala from 1963 to 1967 and the company’s first female head designer. In honor of her 90th birthday, Kalevala is celebrating her design legacy by launching jewelry inspired by her futuristic jewelry art from the 1960s. The pieces are stamped with the anniversary year’s logo.
