Itu is a modern collection from Kalevala, inspired by the power of nature and the new life that is sprouting forth. The name Itu means “sprout” in Finnish, and the design draws its inspiration from shoots breaking through the soft soil of the forest—or through small cracks in the city’s asphalt. The piece was created by designer and artist Martin Bergström and has a look that feels both soft and strong at the same time. Its sleek design makes it easy to wear every day, but it also pairs beautifully with other jewelry for a more personal style. The back of the piece is polished, and this is where the engraving is placed.
